Terms of use

What this is
Prayer Guard is an iPhone app that blocks apps you choose, at times you choose, until you complete a prayer. By installing and using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, delete the app.
What it is not
It is not medical, psychological, pastoral or professional advice, and it is not a treatment for any condition, including compulsive phone use. If you are struggling with something serious, please talk to a doctor, a counsellor or your pastor.
Blocking is best-effort
Blocking depends on Apple’s Screen Time frameworks and on the permissions you grant. Restarting the device, revoking Screen Time authorization, deleting the app or a change in iOS can all interrupt it. We cannot guarantee an app will always be blocked when you expect it to be, and you remain responsible for your own use of your phone.
You can remove all blocking at any time from a single control in Settings — no prayer, no delay and no subscription required.
Subscriptions
Some features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple Account and renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel a subscription in Settings on your iPhone.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. The price and the billing period shown at the time of purchase are the ones that apply.
Scripture and prayer content
The bundled Bible translations are used under their respective licences and are reproduced verbatim with attribution. The written prayers are provided for your personal use within the app. Please do not extract or redistribute the app’s content as your own.
Liability
The app is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it.
Changes
These terms may change as the app changes. The date at the top shows the current version.
