Privacy policy

Prayer Guard has no accounts and no server of its own. Your prayers, your streak, your highlights and the list of apps you have chosen to block are stored on your iPhone and are not transmitted anywhere. There is no analytics SDK and no advertising SDK in the app.

Blocking is built on Apple’s Family Controls, Managed Settings and Device Activity frameworks, using individual authorization — you managing your own device.

When you choose apps or categories to block, iOS does not give the app a readable list. It gives opaque tokens that are meaningful only on your device and only to this app. Those tokens are written to a shared app group container so the blocking extensions can read them, and they are never transmitted off the device, to us or to anyone else.

If you subscribe, the transaction is processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to tell the app whether a subscription is active. That involves a receipt and an anonymous identifier generated for the purchase — it does not include your prayers, your streak, your app selections, or anything you read in the Bible.

We never receive your card details. Apple handles payment; see Apple’s own privacy policy for how they process it.

If you allow notifications, they are scheduled locally on your device for the prayer times you set. Nothing is sent through a push server and no notification content leaves your phone.

The Bible texts and the written prayers are bundled with the app and read from local storage. Opening a passage or a prayer does not make a network request and is not logged.

Prayer Guard is rated 4+ and has no accounts, no user-generated content and no social features. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

If a future version of the app collects anything, this page will say so before that version ships, and the date at the top will change.
